A 78th minute strike from Celts hitman Mark Bett was enough to secure another three points for Lee Sinnott's side in a gritty tussle at Throstle Nest.

Both sides had their chances to win the game and the longer it went on the more inevitable it was that a single goal would prove crucial. The home side claimed it and move up to 5th in the Unibond League Division One table, just six points off top spot.

Farsley face a testing West Riding County Cup semi-final at home on Tuesday night against Selby Town before hitting the road with three tough away fixtures.

Next Saturday they are at Chorley before visiting third placed Bamber Bridge (Tuesday 16th) and sixth placed Lincoln United (Saturday 20th).
