For eighteen years,
Pudsey Rotary Club member and current Treasurer, Les Bloom has been organising and leading a walk for Rotarians and friends, in all manner of places. ![]() |
|
| A keen amateur geologist and historian, Lez's walks were characterised by him 'going on and on' about rock formations, ancient settlements and local families, His walkers finished the day feeling refreshed by the countryside, better for the exercise and amazed by his knowledge. | ||

After his eighteenth ramble, Les
has handed over the mantle to Chris Johnson-Green, himself a noted walk leader, and last
Sunday (16th May) saw us rambling' over the moors around Cowling in the Keighley area. The weather was kind and the going was good The usual excellent meal at the Queens Hall in the evening rounded off a grand day Les Bloom added his congratulations to Chris for a well organised social event and hoped that the tradition would continue. |
