Keith has "Right Royal" Garden
Party 24th June2001 |
| |
|
|
The Rotary Rear Enders pose,or otherwise, for the club
photographer at outgoing President Keith Thompson's garden party last Sunday,
24th June 2001 (Keith is the purple one on the right). Incoming President Ian
Featherstone has spotted the creeping clicker and will no doubt call him to
account later. |
| |
|
The tall and the short of it - Monty and Fred - discussing the merits
of swinging over the stream which meanders through Keith's garden. They wisely
chose another foray into the buffet. Sensible chaps! |
 |
| |
Charles and Paul, well fed and obviously at the
giggly stage as befits the younger members. Amused the even younger President
Elect Ian. |
|
| |

| Helen, ever the diplomat,
smiles sweetly - at someone's witticism? If so, Margaret has obviously heard it
before. |
|
| In a
more serene part of the tent - sorry, marquee - Derek is looking amused at one
of his own jokes whilst Ray looks rather pained. Hilda maintains a dignified if
enigmatic pose. |
Out in the
brilliant warm sunshine, this innocent looking circle of ladies are having a
grand time. Wouldn't mind eavesdropping on Molly, Margaret, Heather, Madge and
Joan. On second thoughts -'what ye don't know won't hurt ye!'.

| |
| How can anyone
with Geoffrey's reputation as a wine buff, look so languid with a glass of the
red stuff within his grasp? Perhaps Doreen has that kind of calming
influence. |
|
 |
| |

| Robert, even more of a
bottle expert than you know who, in his usual mode as spreader of hearty (oh
dear! - ever so hearty/is it nearly time for home) good cheer. Mary, the
thinking man's bit of watercolour crumpet, accepts with good grace, whilst
Rita, an idiot's idea of a good buttered scone, has her tigers' smile on. Keith
keeps a watching 'what's all this 'ere then' brief. |
