This after lunch visit was made memorable for us by our guide Duty Station Officer “Ronnie” Barker.

Not only was he vastly experienced, having been in the service for almost 30 years, his attitude and his humour gave us valuable insights into life in the Fire Service.

His anecdotes are still being repeated by those of us lucky enough to be in his company.
